I believe successful product teams stay connected with users, continuously test and validate their deliveries, and foster common understanding. They sit on the Venn diagram of business, design and technology and transcend disciplinary boundaries.
Design is a holistic and strategic tool that helps in the definition of problems and goals and maximizes value by building the right thing. For me, if “Writing is cutting up words”, building products is about cutting features.
For nearly two decades I have used design and development tools to express myself, explore ideas, and find solutions, spanning from the macro to the micro.
I foster an interest in design among developers and an appreciation of technology among designers. I advocate for pairing rather than traditional design handovers as a way to bridge the gap between the limitations of the design tools' deliverables and the real user experience.
I am a transparent leader who values shared understanding and results. You'll see this when I gather context amid confusion, clarify requirements and priorities, and keep track of KPIs.
I support my team by informing them about decisions and strategies, creating space for them to reach their full potential, and pairing on issues to unblock them. I thrive in an environment of openness and trust. I commit to being a good listener.
About
I’m passionate about solving problems and creating meaningful experiences for people. Design is the tool that I've found to do that.
After a stint in digital agencies, I founded Milk-it Software Farm, where I was the creative driver for over 5 years.
Since 2012 I have been dedicated to identifying and turning user and business needs into products, whether as an individual contributor, leader or mentor to other designers.
I have a genuine curiosity and interest in various subjects, which has profoundly impacted my work and my ability to connect the dots.
